Last Lecture

Last Lecture
“You will go far with CTR.”
-Mr.Haymore
Reflection: I think that this last statement means that the one way ticket to joy and etc, is by the one and only opportunity you will have every moment to decide.
This action will be to choose the right to simplify CTR, in which any moment is a test wether you will be worth something and humble you will be, if you fail you're obligations to this, you will not only be forgotten but will be forgiven and lost in misery. Whether it is a small action, every small action that depends on you, almost everywhere you go and everything you do, the ultimate test is waiting to be received. This small action will certainly change the rest of your life forever. For example, this one small question finds its way to your situation; “Hey do you want a bit of marijuana, it's for fun C’mon.” Apparently somehow this small question will change the direction of what you were planning to do depending on the outcome. You say yes, you rot in jail, have the rest of your life, but you'll have to start from square one all over again. If you say yes, yes you might lose that jerk of a friend, but in reality you would be setting a great example for others at the same time with also getting rewarded with a load of self esteem, humility, perseverance in somewhat of a way, honesty, and of course another way to escape a certain doom that was planned for you. In a way, this small statement could play a huge role in your future. And not only for this, but also for future generations waiting to be cleaned up.In conclusion, your life is just limke a movie, based off of your actions, you will get your consequences, wether glorious or tragic, well its left uppon yourself to decide, wether you want to live in a bad world, or be the absolute change you want to see badly in the world to make it worth a fight.

To Be A CTR perosn

To be a CTR Person-to Always CHOOSE THE RIGHT 24/7
The Ultimate Choice

Of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes
all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you
to always make correct decisions for the remainder of your
life. This one choice, The Ultimate choice, is you're keystone for being the best student and person you can possibly be.
This one choice will forever affect you for good more than
any other choice.
THE ULTIMATE CHOICE is:
To be a CTR Person-to Always CHOOSE THE RIGHT 24/7!!!
Mr.Haymore
Reflection: I think that this quote is teaching us that the best choice we can make to have what we want that's not vulgar, is the ultimate choice as he stated earlier. That this is the best choice we can make that passes the rest in a way where it's certain that good fortune is coming. If we make poor unfair choice, it's obvious that we are not going to get what we desire, rather the opposite of what we expect. But if we get probably the most recommended choice, The ultimate choice, we will most likely get what we want and we will be rewarded at the same time for what you have fought for to win. This “dude”, is also stating that this will also make you be More than what you never thought you would be if you live in darkness, the most scholar, great character person you could be. My thought on this quote is that it is very informative on what our future leads to. As in that its telling you that the best possible choice you coulde make is the ultimate choice. And be really aware of this choice, becaus eits not several times, its just 1 choice only and theres no turning back if you make a mistake.

Beautiful Character

Character
If there is beauty in character,
There will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.
Conclusion:
If there is beauty in character,
There will be peace in the world.
-Chinese proverb

Reflection: I think this means that the one thing that holds almost every single matter of piece, is great character. Because character function in two ways good and bad. So in this case smoking a cigarette or taking marijuana is bad character. But giving a dog some water or returning the fish to the lake could be a matter of growing character. But making a vaccine for a disease is great character! But in this case there is only one person who has that character, not any of us though. An average high, great character is fight crime in a grocery store that's being robbed, or saving someone from drowning. Little acts and big acts like these inspire absolutely anything to be the resolution. For example, if you were in a blank room with nothing except several cleaned minds, you would decide to fate whether you'd have good character and make everyone else follow your footsteps or you can have very poor footsteps and leave these small minds to rot to misery.

Fail with honor.

“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”
-Sophocles

Reflection: I think this quote means that it's better to lose it then win it by cheating. That was extremely obvious so let me explain my reasoning, it says “...prefer to fail with honor…” i'm sure you know where this is going, it means that since you're going to lose, you should lose not cheating then just lose or win cheating. “...then win by cheating…” this means that if you're going to cheat somewhere somehow, then think three times of what you are doing, for example. You're going to school you use a piece of tape and write the answers with a light pencil(classic), nobody sees you with it but you cheat anyway and you actually pass with a A. But this was an illusion, you think three times and you don't cheat but do the best you can, maybe fail with honor. But since almost everyone cheats in this world i doubt people will think three times, but since you are reading the quote i recommend you follow where i'm going with this.

Pursuing Goals

“If i've got correct goals, and if i keep pursuing them the best way i know how, everything else falls into line. I fi do the right thing right, i'm going to succeed.”
-Dan Dierdorf

Reflection: I think this means that since he would have correct goals the only thing left was to do them right. As in if he wants to achieve every single goal he has, he has to do them right. That if anyone wants to do something right they're going to have to work hard. But it depends if you actually play your part and try your best. For example, if you just moan and cry and wish you had gone somewhere or done something to get something, you wont get a single penny or laugh. You're going to have to work hard and find ways and do your best to actually get farther than you were, even if you actually didn't get a penny or a laugh, you tried.

Good Values

Good Values
“The most important thing you will ever have is good values.”
-Dennis Prager
Reflection: I think that this means that the one thing that's good in you are you're good values. You can value your church, you can value your commitment to working hard, or etc. But having you're good values means that not only do you value it, but you're bringing a joy to those marvels. For an example, if you value your cat a lot than, you just made a good value. But if you value drugs and bad pills and etc., you will have a very bad value. But the most important thing you’ll have in your life, are you're good clean values only, not dirty inappropriate values. In this case, if you rather admire and value your parents, you should treat them with good respect otherwise you value something but you're just not exactly valuing something.

An internal phenomenon

“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: self-respect, dignity(self worth), integrity, and self-esteem.”
-Dr.Laura Schlessinger

Reflection: I think that this statement means that the reward for doing the right things come in handy. It wouldn't be a reward that you would so selfishly use, it would be an internal reward, because you're mental state grows. It grows in self respect, a good way to make your emotional and mental state better. Dignity, knowing you would sacrifice your dignity so easily this could help you're dignity rise up.Integrity, being honest all the time will always benefit. And finally you're self esteem, one of your most important values you have. So doing the right thing, you might possibly get a reward for yourself, but you can be certain you won something from yourself too.

Four Success Tips

  1. Work Hard.
  2. Follow your Passions.Do things you are interested in doing
  3. Don't chase after money.
  4. Serve others. Do good things for others, and good things will come to you.
-Phillip Riggs

Reflection: I think this statement or statements are trying to say that firstly that you should always pursue your ideal opportunity. As in always pursue your goals. Secondly that you need to follow your desires even if everyone is different or same. That there's only one chance to hit the ball in baseball for example, like life you only get one shot so you need to make use of it. Don't ever follow you're greedy compassion/conscience. And finally to help others when they have nobody else or when they need you. To do good for everyone else and in doing so you will get your payment in return.

THE RIGHT THING

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”
-Theodore Roosevelt

Reflection: What i think that this means that at any point of day, week, month, year, moment, or exact time, the best thing you could probably do is the only thing that crosses your mind of course, do the correct thing. The best thing to do in a harsh dilemma is probably the right thing, otherwise you might end up with a shiner, or bad conscience, or worse. Probably for an example i would say that if you had two alternatives one bad and one good in a situation of stealing or leaving. You are in a store and you have a gun in your back pocket. There are no cameras and no security, a perfect chance to get away with a severe crime. But before you act you pause to think, what's best? Stealing and probably murdering. Or leaving and have a scar on your conscience which will be a reminder for you forever, you would do a bad crime or be a good person who chose the right at that moment and forever maybe.

Nothing

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.”

-Wilford Woodruff

Reflection: I believe that this statement means that when you do the wrong you will get nothing good out of it. Probably you did bad but got good after, than i tell you now that that good will only last for a short time. When you do wrong you will only get wrong outcomes. You will get absolutely nothing or nothing good. For an example, as it was stated by the teacher, there was this student who cheated on this one test. He got 100 out of 100, so he went home and showed his parents. The parent quized him and that was the moment go got nothing good from his bad doings. He was grounded and prohibited to go to practice after school, and was prohibited to use his phone for 3 months. So as you saw/ read here in this example, you will never gain anything good when you do bad, you’ll only gain nothing at all or something bad.

Do the right thing at the right time.

“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.”
-Pam Knox
Reflection: I believe that this means  that it is only truly a full and great experience when you achieve something you worked very hard for. As in if you kept your promise for a long time and you weren't weak and you didn't break it, it means you actually achieved what you were supposed to do. If you don't actually do anything but someone else had the character and power to do anything right at any time, it will be a great moment for everyone. For example, if you kept a promised you wouldn't eat junk food for a month but then broke that promise, then that means/proves you're weak. If you actually have the courage and strength to keep a promise like, i will not take in any junk food for a whole 20 years and you actually follow your promise, then that means that you are not weak. It's when someone does something right at any time when they make you look like the clown because either way you should always keep any promise or else you'll end up as the clown.

Word of Honor

“I have been asked what i meant by ‘word of honor.’ I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone, ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into ground-there is a possibility that in some way or another i might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can i get out of that circle? No, never! I’d die first.

-Karl G. Maeser

Reflection: I believe that this means that a word of honor has to be the one of the most loyal ways to be certain of your word. So if you use a word of honor, you'll have to keep what you said or do what you said. And if you were ever put in trial and you'll have to use a word of honor, it most definitely has to be the truth no matter what you're consequences are. And if you ever broke your word than you will lose the trust anybody will ever have of you again. Word of honor means a promise or a stateing word that means you'll be humble and will not break your word.

The ten indian commandments

The Ten Indian Commandments
  1. Treat the Earth and all that dwells therein with respect.
  2. Remain close to the Great Spirit.
  3. Show great respect to your fellow beings.
  4. Work together for the benefit of all mankind.
  5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
  6. Do what you know to be right.
  7. Look after the well-being of mind and body .
  8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
  9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
  10. Take full responsibility of you're actions.

Reflection:  I believe that this means that you should always respect anything on or around earth. It also says that it is prior that you stay close to belief or remarks of bravery and nobility. To respect everyone no matter different or the same. To also always give some sort of effort to do something that will help out. You should also make sure that you are doing great from both your mind and your physical being. Also to be truthful and honest all the time and to face your own consequences because you did what you did. And finally to always take full responsibility for your actions even if the consequences are glorious or tragic.

A Promise

  A Promise
“A Promise must never be broken.”
-Alexander Hamilton

Reflection: I believe this means that no matter what the cause, no matter what the problems, no matter what the circumstances, the promise must never be broken. And on that note, the promise is a valuable common deal were as someone is telling you that you must abide the task or the deal. Breaking a promise means that the person will lose trust and hope for you. Sometimes during tragic incidents a promise is made but soon you will or will not abide the promise. When a promise is broken there's no turning back or no exit. You did what you did so you either abide the promise or you didn't.

Goodness

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
-Henry David Thoreau

Reflection: Whether or not you're investing millions and millions, you might succeed but you might not at the same time. Only one investment is clear responsible and good, that is, goodness. Goodness can and will always be the best investment you can choose even if times are rough around . If you choose the good free investment you will happen to make a good deed. While if you actually pull off a bad investment you obviously will end up either winning or losing in these situations you are more likely to lose then win .

They're Right

“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap;you don't make them because they’re popular; you make them because they are right.”
-Theodore Hesburgh

Sound and Good

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound good, and unpopular that which is unsound “
-Joseph Smith
Reflection: My opinion of this quote is that it is your duty to concentrate on the positive and not the negative. For example you do something unpopular than you’ll get you're unpopularity straight away. On the other hand, you do something good you will have your popularity you do or don't seek in a matter of time. That we should be near the influence of good not bad. That we shouldn't be around the acquaintances that we shouldn't be near. This also means that we should make popular what is good and sound, but we should make the unpopular the which were are bad and remarkably malicious.

Abraham Lincoln

      Honest Abe
“I am not bound to win, but i am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”
-Abraham Lincoln

Reflection: I believe that this means that even if you're not bound to be victorious or win anything at all, you must be bound to be true and fair, honest and appreciative. You should be bound to be around people that are always good and noble. Stand with them when they are doing the right. But wouldn't be bound to be with the bad people. Stay away from the people who will always ruin their lives in desperation and conflict. Always part with the people you thought were fair but ran into the ruin of their lives otherwise you will be dragged down too.

Characheter

    Character
“ Character is higher than intellect.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Reflection: What i believe this means is that without character you'd be a smart criminal mastermind. Like without character you'll just be a sack of bones and flesh. But with intelligence and character you'll be a person who will definitely be successful. With poor intelligence but good character it wont be good enough. With a lot of intelligence but little character than you wont be successful as that either. So it doesn't balance out.

Tyler Haws

“I trust that my hard work will pay off.”
-Tyler Haws

Reflection: I think that this statement is trying to say that if you put some effort into something you probably will or will not get what you were expecting for. As in that if you put effort, time, and dedication to what you are doing that you trust that it will pay off. That if you try real hard you will get something great and extraordinary. In other words that in what you try you will get an outcome depending if you did poorly fair or you really put dedication to what you are doing. For example if you spending time and lots of hard work on a garden then you will get something you did or did not expect and you will get lots of fruit or vegetables. Another example is that you are working an assignment on a test and then you use a cheat sheet, you either get caught or not, if you don't , then you never learned what you were supposed to, when a situation comes whereas you are forced to answer or dom the thing you never learned to do you didn't work hard on, you will get some detrimental results and you will end up with something fairly poor and bad.
